The text Before the Law comes from Franz Kafka´s novel The Trial. Jozef K. is the main character of this novel.
Smerdyakov is a character from F. M. Dostoyevsky´s novel The Brothers Karamazov.
The tune Adagio in G Minor was used as a theme tune in the film The Trial, directed by Orson Welles.
Quote “We live in a country, where the public authority is not comprehended as a temporary service, but as swag.” As in blog of Radoslav Procházka.
Quote “In a trial with an asshole, only another asshole can be your solicitor.” As in MUDr. Xavier Crement’s book Asshole No More!
The play is loosely inspired by the famous novel by Franz Kafka The Trial (Kafka's original German title: Der Process). This black humorous tessellation of stories and fates, consisting of a few more or less intersecting episodes is however set in the present times, the times of jurisdictional absurdum of the beginning of 21st century, when the process of one absurd social establishment alternates the other…
